One of the standout features of Option 270 Degrees is the selection of a dark color shade for the interior decoration. While spaces decorated with dark shades often exude a cold, inflexible, and masculine ambiance, the designers took great care to create a warm and soft texture that adds a touch of elegance and fluidity. The exclusive shade, achieved through a meticulous mix of colors, perfectly complements the owner's clean and sophisticated style.
The realization of Option 270 Degrees involved the use of natural wood, wood floors, Caesarstone, iron, and glass. These materials were carefully chosen to enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of the design. With a total area of 132 square meters, this residential house offers a spacious and comfortable living environment.
Option 270 Degrees is the result of extensive research and consideration for the needs of middle-aged single individuals. Recognizing that late marriages and celibacy are increasingly common, the designers aimed to create a customized living space that caters specifically to singles. The focus of this project was to provide a space where the owner, and only the owner, could fully enjoy every aspect of the design, without the need to accommodate friends or family members.
One of the main challenges faced during the construction of the 270-degree rotating wall was the installation of buried audiovisual pipelines. Ensuring the durability and functionality of these pipelines, even with continuous rotation, was a top priority. Additionally, the designers had to carefully select hardware materials to ensure smooth rotation and secure attachment to the structure of the house.
Option 270 Degrees is a testament to the creativity, technical expertise, and research undertaken by Liang-Yi Liao and Chun-Yi Ho. This design has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of Option 270 Degrees, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
